Organize your bedroom
Your bedroom is your refuge and your escape to the outside world. In fact, it may even represent your escape from the world inside your house! This is where you’ll leave behind work, bonds, and even when you get a break from parenting.
You certainly do not want to walk in this room and see the chaos and disorder stacked to the ceiling. It is important to get the master bedroom clean for you can relax … or simply close their eyes in a peaceful environment.
Begin by walking into your room and taking a look. What jumps out at you? Is it really crowded? Is there a cabinet stacked with clothes, magazines or books? The laundry basket tipping? No matter how big or small the eye-sore, take care of it first.
Make your bed, straighten the basket, empty magazines – everything you need. This will make you feel better and give you the motivation you need to spend the rest of your room.
It is logical to tackle any flat surface next. Your chest, headboard, a party or end tables, or even your cedar chest tend to build things on them because they are flat surfaces. It’s really easy to throw books, magazines, newspapers, and clothing on these surfaces.
It allows me to start on one side of the room and work my way around every flat surface in the room. Take all of each surface and put into other containers. It works well for a “range” and a trash container. Obviously, you should discard immediately.
In general, I found a laundry basket works well for the “ranger” container, and hold most of the accumulated echoes of my room. Shop around and clean surfaces in your container. You’ll feel better just seeing amazingly clean surfaces.
Do you have any trinkets, books, and other things so they are enjoyable to watch. Then, take your basket to another room and go through it. You do not have to do it now, in fact, you should return to the first room. But you do not forget to come back and do it.
Return to the bedroom. Now you can see the surfaces, use a dust cloth over them and get them looking very good. Change your sheets, down duvet, and fill the humidifier if you use one. Make the bed. You’ll be surprised how much this helps.
The floors are your final step (we’re not looking in the closet this time!) If you have things piled on the floor, treat those the same way you handled things on your surfaces. Once the ground is cleared of clutter, run the vacuum cleaner.
Now, stand back and take a look at your bedroom. It looks like a whole new room. Neat, clean and peaceful. If you’ve thought about doing a bit of decoration, the time has come. Your room is ready and waiting
